Eternal Summer

Eternal Summer is a 2006 Taiwanese film directed by Leste Chen. This movie tells the story of Jonathan (Bryant Chang), a young man who finds himself in an enviable (or maybe not) romantic predicament. On one hand, he has pretty Hong Kong transplant Carrie (Kate Yeung) after him. The two share an idyllic day of hooky in the big city, after which they check into a love hotel and get down to the deed. No dice: Jonathan calls it off. It turns out that he’s in love with someone else, namely best friend Shane (Joseph Chang), a roguish and handsome troublemaker who excels at basketball and seems to be headed nowhere in particular after high school.

    nakaka relate ako s story. I really like the way they act as best friend and then in the end they really love each other!!!

    This movie is not the type of movie that we would like to always end, happy ending. Though some of the scenes of the last part were vague, I like how the story evolve among characters. I commend the Directors and the artist of the movie as well for doing a good job in this film.

    Wow!!! this movie is really good. This movie shows the reality of life. I would like this movie to end in happy ending with Jonathan and Shane living happily ever after as couples. But that is not the reality. May be some had happy ending, but I think most end up like this. You fall in love with your best friend but your friend will always just be a friend. Dun pa nga sa iba, nasisira ung friendship. Kung totoosin, happy ending na rin pla ang story n ito dahil hindi nasira ang friendship nila Shane at Jonathan. Di ko lang sure kung magiging FuBu n rin sila kasi minsan na silang nagsiping. hehehe

    -actually ang ganda ng movie, ang sarap ng feeling na pahalagahan ka ng isang tao maging ano ka pa :) yan ang tunay na kaibigan :)

    ganda ng movie. so ang ending ayaw talagang mawala ni shane si jonathan. since me nangyari na sa kanila, it would end up as jonathan having a best friend with benefits. haba ng buhok ni jonathan huh... ok na yun kesa naman sa lumayo sya na malungkot. at least, best friend pa rin sila or should I say, fucking-friends.
